In the age of globalization, international activities are rapidly becoming a very important part of business. In fact, the same can be said of the role of many not-for-profit organizations. Global opportunities include export/import, foreign companies developing their business in the US,, and American corporations expanding their presence overseas to take advantage of growing foreign markets.

Charles will talk about both local opportunities with firms based outside the US and, for those who are adventurous, considering assignments overseas, working for either foreign companies or US corporations that have international footprints. He will cover the challenges involved in fitting in with these kinds of employers.

Charles has a diverse background in business, education and administration, which includes organizing conferences and major domestic and international programs. He holds a Masters in Management from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University. He belongs to the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the Association for Corporate Growth, the Organization of American Historians and the Canada-US Business Council Chicago, where he serves on the board.
